Job Summary

• The Show Lighting intern is a member of the technical show quality team and works  closely with Parks & Resorts Facility Services Cast Members to maintain the highest quality of show lighting throughout the resort. In additional to a high degree of lighting technical skills, the Show Lighting intern also has a creative sense for proper Disney theme environment, a good knowledge of the Disney brand, and the capacity to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• From this internship experience the intern will gain theme park working experience, understand Disney show quality requirement, know basic lighting controls, gain hands on experiences in various lighting products.

Responsibilities

• Focus lights, install lighting equipment or re-lamping under designer's direction;
• Consolidate lighting reports for designers, to indicate lighting defects and solutions. And work with corresponding team to follow up.
• Work with technicians to fix lighting defects and responsible for updating the lighting issue status in our tracking system.
• Support trouble shooting and programming as necessary.
• Help lighting designer identify appropriate lighting spec and equipment per show quality requirement.
• Support lighting designer to do lighting reviews.
• Support lighting designer on documentation, e.g. lighting plan, lighting database update, cut sheet, review reports etc.
• Support lighting designer on other issues, e.g. prepare training set-ups, lighting tests etc..

Requirements

• Arts design, electrical engineering or network related background.
• Must be sensitive to lights and colors.
• Previous working experiences in lighting design or lighting control projects is preferred.
• Overnight Shift Duty is required
• Fluent in both Chinese and English.
