RESPONSIBILITIES

• To keep abreast of the rapid development in the education field & help to enhance the quality of the educational services of the Army
• Coordinate pre-school programmes in the domains of Learning and Teaching (L&T), curriculum assurance and professional development
• Coordinate with School Supervisor and Pre-School Group Leads to maintain the quality code for education provision by the Army
• Work with Pre-School Group Leads to review, organize and plan for educational events and initiatives for Pre-Schools
• Respond to and ensure the fulfillment of Education Bureau (EDB) policy requirements
• Monitor and share with stakeholders regarding the development and implementation of
• the latest policy of the Army and governmental bodies
• Conduct evidence-based external reviews of the educational services provided by the Army
• Conduct research and share information about good practice to improve education quality
• Organize training and development programmes for teaching staff
• Assist supervisor to investigate needs and concerns about schooling education quality and standard
• Perform any other legitimate duties assigned by the superior(s)

REQUIREMENTS

• An understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army
• Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Science or related disciplines with at least 4 years of post-degree experience in education, research and marketing; or Higher Diploma in Early Childhood Education with at least 8 years of educational experience
• Experience in research and curriculum development is advantageous
• Sound knowledge about pre-school education system and related government policies ofHong Kong
• Track record in pre-school education and special educational needs would be advantageous
• Demonstrate good teamwork and also be able to work independently with good analytical skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
