Assistant Manager-Payroll (Team Lead) (Ref: 2100006V)


  • Lead the payroll team to provide all-round payroll and related services for the Corporation and certain overseas offices in a professional and efficient manner
  • Manage payroll service delivery, including monthly payroll, retirement scheme benefits / contributions, salary tax services, related accounting, reporting and analyses as well as other payroll functions, to ensure they are performed timely and accurately in accordance with the statutory requirements and Corporation’s policies and practices 
  • Ensure timely submission of various notifications and fillings to tax authorities
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on payroll related matters and enquiries
  • Supervise the planning and implementation of payroll system enhancements to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement and carry out other ad-hoc projects as and when assigned




  • Degree in Accounting / Finance / Human Resources / Business Administration or a related discipline
  • Possession with a recognised accounting professional qualification is preferred but not essential
  • Preferably 8 years’ relevant experience, preferably gained in payroll office in sizable companies, of which 3 years should be at managerial level
  • Proven experience in PeopleSoft Payroll System and Oracle Financial System 
  • Well-versed in Inland Revenue Ordinance, Employment Ordinance and other relevant statutory requirements
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure with strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Be aware of unfailing observance of confidentiality requirement when handling staff and sensitive matters
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
