Responsibilities
- Lead the department in formulating and executing strategic plans for enhancing the quality of education to meet the needs and sustain development amid changing operating environment
- Evaluate and monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and services operations for continuous improvement.
- Review and monitor the manpower, resources and finance of various units of head office and schools to optimize utilization.
- Keep abreast of the policy direction to ensure the delivery of quality education in accordance with the Government policies and requirements.
- Act as School Supervisor for TSA’s Schools to oversee education services and monitor the effectiveness of the Incorporated Management Committees and Schools.
- Work with school chaplains and corps officers to facilitate programmes which ensure spiritual awareness and commitment within our educational units.
- Represent TSA in meetings and activities of the Government and other organisations in areas related to educational services.
- Perform any legitimate duties assigned by direct Supervisor and Leadership.

Requirements
- An understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army - Degree in Education or related disciplines; post graduate qualification in an education related area is desirable
- At least 10 years’ experience in education or related sector with at least 5 years in leadership position
- Sound knowledge about School education system and related Government policies of Hong Kong.
- Proficient communication skills in English and Chinese (written and verbal)
- Be resourceful, innovative and dynamic
- Demonstrated capacity to gain trust and work effectively in a team environment
- Possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, interpersonal and presentation skills
