Fundraising Officer, Communications and Fundraising Department (Ref: FO/CFD/04-24)

The Salvation Army is an international Christian church and charity working in 133 countries and areas, and has been serving Hong Kong for over 90 years since 1930. With the commitment of transforming lives, caring for people and making disciples, we are currently operating over 80 social services units, 36 schools and education centre, 17 corps (churches) and 1 outpost, and 15 Family Stores in Hong Kong and Macau. There are offices in Yunnan Province and Sichuan Province for community development in these provinces.

Highlight
- To implement donor acquisition programmes;
- Degree in Marketing/ Mass Communication/ Business/ Languages related discipline with at least 3 years’ marketing experience, or Diploma in Marketing/ Mas Communication/ Business/ Languages related discipline with 5 years of relevant working experience;
Responsibilities
- To implement donor acquisition programmes;
- To plan and execute fundraising campaigns and appeals;
- Develop, collate and track campaign and appeal budgets and schedules;
- To build trustful relationships with corporate partners;
- Identify, build and cultivate key relationships with existing and potential corporate partners and High-Net-Worth-Individuals (HNWIs) in Hong Kong and Macau;
- Explore new income streams and making fundraising effectively;
- Implement Legacy Marketing and the generation and management of legacy stewardship;
- Develop social media fundraising strategies;
- Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising plans and budgeting.
Requirements
- An understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army;
- Degree in Marketing/ Mass Communication/ Business/ Languages related discipline with at least 3 years’ marketing experience, or Diploma in Marketing/ Mas Communication/ Business/ Languages related discipline with 5 years of relevant working experience;
- Social media and online publishing experience are required;
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications;
- Sensitive to figures, analytical and with good sense of market trends;
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently;
- Attentive to details, well organized, with good interpersonal and communications skills;
- Overtime and occasional work on holidays as and when required
