Senior Communications Officer, Communications and Fundraising Department (Ref: SCO/CFD/04-24)

The Salvation Army is an international Christian church and charity working in 133 countries and areas, and has been serving Hong Kong for over 90 years since 1930. With the commitment of transforming lives, caring for people and making disciples, we are currently operating over 80 social services units, 36 schools and education centre, 17 corps (churches) and 1 outpost, and 15 Family Stores in Hong Kong and Macau. There are offices in Yunnan Province and Sichuan Province for community development in these provinces.

Highlight
- Assist to develop or formulate high-impact communications, branding, marketing communications strategies;
- Degree in Languages, Mass Communication, Marketing or other related discipline;
Responsibilities
- Assist to develop or formulate high-impact communications, branding, marketing communications strategies;
- Take the lead in the development of key messages, media stories, and marketing narratives;
- Supervise the performance and discipline of the teams and make sure KPIs are reached;
- Assist in building messaging for connecting with media, donors, supporters, and other external parties;
- Assist to cultivate and strengthen relationship with media, community, as well as donors and supporters.
- Provide copywriting services;
- Create innovative and engaging contents for digital and social media communications;
- Develop media contacts and enhance media relations;
- To plan and execute communication plan of fundraising events.
- Assist in set and manage budgets, track income and expenditure and provide regular reports.
Requirements
- An understanding of the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army;
- Degree in Languages, Mass Communication, Marketing or other related discipline;
- Attained Level 2 or above in five subjects in HKDSE or Leve 2/ Grade E or above in five subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese Language and English Language;
- With 6 years of relevant working experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role is preferrable;
- Social media, online publishing experience, camera and photography skill are required;
- Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications;
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently;
- Attentive to details, well organized, with good interpersonal and communications skills;
- Overtime, occasional work on holidays and outdoor work as and when required.
